Michael’s Fishing Adventure: Six Days of Fishing, 12 Huchen Caught, and an Unforgettable 104 cm Trophy

Six days of fishing, 12 huchen caught, plenty of excitement, and one truly special trophy. That is how we could briefly describe Michael’s fishing adventure, which was filled with excellent catches, powerful fights, and moments that will be remembered for a long time.

During our six days on the water, we had the opportunity to fish in different conditions, try several techniques, and enjoy everything that makes huchen fishing so special. Some days were full of action, while others required more patience and persistence. Nevertheless, the final result exceeded our expectations.

Here is how our six days of fishing unfolded.

Day 1: An Excellent Start to the Adventure

From the very first day, it was clear that an exciting fishing adventure lay ahead of us. We did not have to wait long for the first action. Within the first hour of fishing, Michael experienced a powerful huchen strike on a streamer, followed by a spectacular reaction from the fish at the water’s surface.

Michael was absolutely thrilled, especially since he had not expected to catch his first fish so quickly. After an exciting fight, we successfully landed an 82 cm huchen.

Later in the day, we had several more good opportunities, but unfortunately, a few fish managed to shake the hooks loose in the rapids. Although the rest of the day was somewhat quieter, the evening session brought another reward. After dark, Michael managed to land another beautiful huchen, measuring 80 cm.

Two excellent catches on the first day were a fantastic start to our adventure.

Day 2: A Day That Required Patience

The second day brought different conditions and considerably less activity than the previous one.

We had several occasions when huchen followed our lures, but none of them committed to a strike. Although we did not manage to land a fish, days like these are an integral part of huchen fishing.

This unpredictability is precisely what makes every trip to the water special. Sometimes, a great deal of patience is needed before the right moment finally arrives.

Day 3: A 104 cm Huchen Weighing an Incredible 13.7 kg

The third day was undoubtedly the highlight of Michael’s adventure.

The morning session was relatively quiet. The fish were not particularly active, so we did not have many opportunities. However, everything changed in the afternoon.

Michael was fishing with a lipless soft-plastic lure when, within the first hour of the afternoon session, an incredibly powerful strike came out of nowhere. We immediately knew we were dealing with a serious fish.

The fight was incredibly exciting. The huchen displayed tremendous strength, but after several tense minutes, we managed to subdue it and safely land the fish.

When we finally got a proper look at it, it was clear that we had something special in front of us.

The huchen measured 104 cm, but what really set it apart was its remarkable bulk. It was significantly heavier-bodied than most huchen of a similar length. After measuring it, the scales showed an impressive 13.7 kg.

It was difficult to put Michael’s excitement into words. This was the kind of catch that represents a truly special moment in any angler’s fishing career.

And yet, the action was far from over.

During the evening session, Michael managed to catch three more huchen: two smaller fish measuring around 70 cm and another beautiful specimen measuring 96 cm. All three were caught on Westin soft-plastic lures.

Four huchen in a single day, including a trophy measuring 104 cm and weighing 13.7 kg. It was a day we will definitely remember for a long time.

Day 4: Good Action and Several Missed Opportunities

We began the fourth day with a morning streamer session, which produced one smaller huchen.

In the afternoon, we switched to fishing with lipless soft-plastic lures in the rapids, which proved to be a good choice. Michael managed to catch two more huchen, both measuring over 70 cm.

The evening session was particularly interesting, but this time we were not so lucky when it came to landing the fish. No fewer than three huchen managed to throw the hooks during the fights.

Although we were a little disappointed about the missed opportunities, three landed huchen still made it another very successful day.

Day 5: His First Grayling Experience and Two More Huchen

On the fifth day, we decided to change the pace a little and dedicate the morning to fly fishing for grayling.

This was Michael’s first experience fishing for grayling, so we wanted to introduce him to this special style of fishing as well.

We were fortunate to find a dry fly that worked exceptionally well. The grayling were active, and Michael quickly found his rhythm, genuinely enjoying every catch.

By the end of the morning session, he had managed to catch more than ten grayling, which was an excellent result for his first experience.

In the evening, we returned to our main target: huchen fishing.

Once again, the results did not disappoint. Michael caught two more beautiful huchen, measuring 74 cm and 89 cm, bringing another successful day on the water to a close.

Day 6: The Final Catch and the End of the Adventure

The final day of Michael’s fishing trip had arrived.

During the morning session, he managed to catch another huchen using a peš lure, which was an excellent way to start our last day.

During the evening session, fish activity dropped off completely. Despite our efforts, we did not manage to catch any more fish.

Nevertheless, after everything we had experienced over the previous days, we had no reason to be disappointed. We had enjoyed six fantastic days of fishing and created plenty of unforgettable memories.

Six Days, 12 Huchen, and Memories to Last a Lifetime

When we finally looked back on the entire adventure, the results were truly outstanding.

A total of 12 huchen caught over six days of fishing, with two particularly remarkable specimens measuring 96 cm and 104 cm. The largest huchen was especially impressive, weighing 13.7 kg.

Beyond the catches themselves, this adventure brought us countless exciting moments, powerful strikes, intense fights, and great company on the water. We were particularly pleased that Michael also had the opportunity to experience grayling fishing with a dry fly for the first time.

By the end of the trip, Michael was more than happy and satisfied with his experience. The best confirmation of that came immediately when he booked his next fishing trip for the following year.

For us, that is the greatest reward of all. When a guest heads home with wonderful memories, fishing goals achieved, and a desire to return, we know that we have created something truly special together.

Michael, thank you for your trust, the great company, and six unforgettable days on the water. We look forward to our next adventure together next year!
